Install CONVICTION.

Beta install

Five steps, about a minute.

    Download the beta

    Download the versioned beta ZIP above and unzip it into a folder you will keep.

    Open Chrome extensions

    Go to chrome://extensions in Chrome.

    Turn on Developer mode

    Use the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner.

    Load unpacked

    Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped CONVICTION folder (the one containing manifest.json).

    Open X

    A short welcome screen opens. Then open x.com and scroll normally. Crypto posts get a CONVICTION score underneath.

The beta is the same code that will ship on the Chrome Web Store. When the store listing is approved you can switch to it and get automatic updates.

Remembers your settings, your anonymous installation token and short-lived cached results on your device.

x.com

Lets CONVICTION read crypto posts already displayed on x.com and place the score under them. No other site is accessed.

Lets the extension call the CONVICTION API to analyse a post's token references.

No access to all websites, no browsing history, no cookies. All extension code is bundled; nothing executable is downloaded at runtime. Read the privacy model.

Help

Troubleshooting, pausing and removal.

I don't see any scores on X.
Scores only appear under posts that mention a token: a cashtag such as $SOL, a contract address or a supported token link. Reload x.com after installing, and check that CONVICTION isn't paused in the popup.
A card says “Token identity uncertain”.
More than one credible token uses that cashtag. Pick the right one in the card. CONVICTION won't guess.
A card says “Evidence temporarily unavailable”.
A market data provider didn't respond. Your feed is unaffected; try again in a minute.
How do I pause CONVICTION?
Click the CONVICTION icon in the toolbar and switch Pause on. Nothing is analysed or sent while paused.
How do I uninstall?
Open chrome://extensions and click Remove on CONVICTION. Then delete the unzipped folder. To delete server-side data linked to your account, email privacy@maib.io.
I loaded it but Chrome shows an error.
Make sure you selected the unzipped folder that directly contains manifest.json, not the ZIP file or a parent folder.
